I have been taking Glen's one on one on-line photography and Photoshop class for over a year now. I can not speak highly enough about Glen, his knowledge of photography and photoshop, and his ability to translate all that into productive instruction. His class has been perfect for someone like me who loves taking photos but doesn't have a lot of technical knowledge about photography. The one on one video based class/format offers customized instruction for exactly where I am at with my camera, my photos, my skill set and for photo editing. With Glen's teaching and encouragement, I finally added enough photos to my repertoire and found the courage to create my own photography site and begin selling my photos! If you're wanting to improve your own camera, photography and editing skill sets (whether just for fun or professionally) do not hesitate - sign up with Glen now! PhotoArts Marin was founded in 2007. Over the past 18 years, I have taught approximately 1,800 students in small group and private lessons. I transitioned from group classes to private instruction, recognizing that individualized attention consistently led to greater success for my students. (Please refer to student reviews for more insights.)
In early 2018, I launched PhotoArts California to offer private online classes via Zoom, FaceTime, and Webex, allowing me to teach students across the country,. This format has proven to be very successful and convenient way to teach this beautiful art form.
Establishing a strong foundation is vital for achieving long-term success in any pursuit. These foundational classes equip students with the essential tools to, deepen their artistic skills, capture breathtaking safari moments, preserve cherished memories through photos of their family, or launch their professional photography careers.
I am confident that these classes will be successful for students who commit to applying Practice, Persistence, and Patience to their learning. Additionally, ongoing support is available for up to one year, ensuring that every student has access to help with their cameras and class content whenever questions arise.
These classes are designed to guide, not push, students toward long-term success in photography.
There are two things that need to be addressed:
First: I only teach students how to use their cameras, not their phone camera. On every level a DSLR (digital single lens reflex camera) or a mirrorless camera, produces far superior images.
Two: I exclusively teach Photoshop because it includes all the tools available in Adobe Lightroom, with added advantages. RAW files imported into Photoshop are easier to access and process, provide a more non-destructive editing workflow, and offer a far superior organizational system. It is much easier than you might think.
